How To Use This Bible Reading Guide:

This Weekly Bible Reading Guide contains 96 weekly readings to be covered in two years. Use the links to the left to view the guides for each year.

There is one "free" week at the end of each 12 weekly readings, allowing you to catch up if you get behind. The readings average about 4.3 chapters each day.

This Weekly Bible Reading Guide can be used as the basis for sermons, Bible classes, devotionals and quiet times. There are six columns:

  • Column 1 is a line to check off completed readings.
  • Column 2 is the number of the week in which you are reading.
  • Column 3 is a reading from the Old Testament other than the book of Psalm.
  • Column 4 is a reading from the book of Psalm.
  • Column 5 is a reading from the Gospels.
  • Column 6 is a reading from the New Testament other than the Gospels.
  • The readings from the Old Testament other than the book of Psalm, Column 3, will give the reader the Books of the Law, historical background, wisdom literature and the prophetic messages from the former covenant of God with Israel. These readings will be completed over a two-year period of time during which you will read each Old Testament book one time.

The readings from the book of Psalm, Column 4, will give the reader poetic devotional material throughout the year. They will be read twice in each of the two years.

The readings from the four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John), Column 5, will each be read four times during each of the two years to keep the reader in continuous contact with the life, death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The readings from the rest of the New Testament (Acts through Revelation), Column 6, consist of readings about the establishment of Christ's church and its instructions for direction in Christian living. The book of Acts will be read four times in each of the two years. The rest of the New Testament books (Romans through Revelation) will be read twice during each of the two years covered in this Weekly Bible Reading Guide.
